Happiness - One of the highest goals Mans, and how to achieve it through meditation
What is happiness? It 'something you can find? Something that you can buy? Something that exists in tangible goods?
There are a lot of misunderstandings between us, what happiness really is. This is not a surprise, since most people live their lives more miserable.
The single biggest mistake people are falsely assuming that happiness is something you get or find. Happiness is a state of mind, a way of life in the present. Think for a moment, most children are naturally happy all the time. Do not think much, they just are. They run through the fields of strawberries in summer, love to dream fairytale kingdoms. They find beauty in the pouring rain, the dog licks his hand.
Yet, when we grow, we stop dreaming and try to find our lost happiness in material goods. You see a pattern here? When we were kids, we were concentrated on what we have done rather than what we had. Happiness is the result of what you do, not what you have. Who do you think was happier? Gandhi or Michael Jackson?
If the results happiness of doing things, then things directed toward what? Two things, that is to say
1. The actions that result in a greater degree of happiness for others.
2. Actions, directed towards a greater understanding of yourself and your future.
Every time from now, when you're about to do something, I want you to ask yourself this question;? "How does this affect the happiness of others to the extent that you did, you will do the right thing in the end.
Something that also needs to understand is that the key to understanding this whole cosmos, begins with the self-understanding. Do not delay the practice of meditation. A total peace of mind (enlightenment), is the greatest wealth you can get. World peace is achieved inner peace ....
